*on quick glance, on the surface, its a a tape of simple, weird, wonky songs - piano and vocals on one side, and experimental music of warbling tape loops,
echoes, field recordings, little synths, hidden sine-wave violins, schlager singers, effects, and such on the other. look closer, and its a loose concept album
about birds - not in the "I know this bird and that bird" way, but more in a "casually dropping celestial wisdom and clandestine truths" way.
all in all, with the rare naivety found here, it somehow manages to evoke emotion and make statements that are unexpectedly otherworldly, brutal
and true - making the sum of its parts greater than almost everything else, and in doing so, proving Yngwie Malmsteens principle just plain wrong.
